Professor Aldo “Caveirinha” Januário is one of many Brazilians born into a family of modest means amidst a poor community in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 10, Professor Caveirinha soon realized that BJJ was his calling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provided Aldo with one of the best opportunities in life.
Professor Caveirinha received his Black Belt from Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr. at the age of 20 and began teaching at his own academy located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since then, he has been promoted to 6th degree Black Belt; a level reached by only a handful of Jiu Jitsu masters. Despite a very promising future in competition, Aldo chose to focus on his real passion: Teaching. His passion has led him to cultivate numerous champions, and he is still going strong.
